So...when I think I need to alter my painting a little bit, here is what I do. I lay tracing paper on top of my painting and start to sketch in my alterations. This helps me to see the painting, visualize the changes and if they are what I want or not and most importantly ~ I don't have to draw or erase on my watercolor paper! Once you erase on watercolor paper the pigment absorbs differently!
